[two_third]No.8 Films has produced a feature length adventure drama film called ‘3 Mile Limit’ set in 1965. It’s the true story of one man’s struggle to bring rock n’ roll to a nation, an epic iconic New Zealand story with a universal theme of ‘David and Goliath’. A younger audience will find it incredible this actually happened and existed as partof New Zealand society in the 1960’s. This is a titanic struggle for freedom and ‘free will and spirit’ which will instantly be recognized by an older audience of a ‘watershed’ time long forgotten in NZ way of life.

Rules and regulations strangled a burgeoning dynamic ground swell of people wanting change. The Government refused a private radio licence to a young 23 year old journalist Richard Davis who wanted to bring a brand of rock n’ roll to a generation looking for change. A boat called the ‘TIRI’ was bought and the adventure began!

Caught in the middle is Judy Davis, a beautiful emerging creative artist the wife of Richard Davis the man hell bent and determined to bring rock music to the airwaves. Judy is a strong confident woman in her own right, and whilst she supports her husband’s hunger to succeed she discovers events that slowly starts to crack the marriage . The cost of which unfolds as Richard desperately tries to hold onto the woman he loves and keep his dream of radio alive. [/two_third]
